Explanation of New Age Division Next Fall

This fall all players move up one year on the birth year chart (attached). So for example, a player born in 2015 that was a U8 last year, will be a U9 beginning this fall for 2023-24. 

We have had a lot of parents indicate that they would like for their child to stay on the same team and play for the same coach. But in the example above that is not possible because that player would move up to the U10 division in the fall. So, we have decided as a club that we will move all divisions up a year. So our U8 division last spring will become a U9 division this fall and our U10 division will become U11 and our U12 division will become U13. This will allow players that would have had to move to a higher division this fall to stay with their team and coach if they so desire. 

Due to low numbers in the U14 division that will remain U14 this fall. With our high school ages we will have one U15/U16 team and one U17/U18/U19 team. Those teams will play against U14, U16 and U19 teams from other clubs and in tournaments this fall.

Explicación de la División de la Nueva Era el Próximo Otoño

Este otoño, todos los jugadores suben un año en la tabla de años de nacimiento (adjunta). Entonces, por ejemplo, un jugador nacido en 2015 que fue U8 el año pasado, será U9 a partir de este otoño para 2023-24.

Muchos padres han indicado que les gustaría que sus hijos permanezcan en el mismo equipo y jueguen para el mismo entrenador. Pero en el ejemplo anterior eso no es posible porque ese jugador subiría a la división U10 en el otoño. Entonces, hemos decidido como club que subiremos todas las divisiones un año. Así que nuestra división U8 la primavera pasada se convirtió en una división U9 este otoño y nuestra división U10 se convertirá en U11 y nuestra división U12 se convertirá en U13. Esto permitirá que los jugadores que habrían tenido que pasar a una división superior este otoño se queden con su equipo y entrenador si así lo desean.

Debido a los bajos números en la división U14, seguirá siendo U14 este otoño. Con nuestras edades de escuela secundaria, tendremos un equipo U15/U16 y un equipo U17/U18/U19. Esos equipos jugarán contra equipos U14, U16 y U19 de otros clubes y en torneos este otoño.
